Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of the Crypta iOS app and service provided by CodeKits.shop. By creating an account or using Crypta you agree to them and to the Crypta Privacy Policy. The app is also licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; if these terms conflict with it, these terms apply to the extent permitted.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required where you live, to use Crypta. Provide accurate information, keep your password secure and tell us if you think your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Acceptable use

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not use Crypta to:

• harass, threaten, bully, stalk or impersonate anyone;
• share content that is illegal, sexually exploits minors, promotes violence or hatred, or infringes others' rights;
• send spam, scams, malware or unsolicited bulk messages;
• share someone's personal information or location without their consent;
• attempt to access accounts or systems you are not authorised to use, or disrupt the service.

Reporting and moderation

You can report a message or conversation and block any user from within the app. Reports are reviewed by our team, normally within 24 hours. We may remove content, restrict features or suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, and we may report illegal content to the authorities. Review may use security metadata, Standard server-encrypted content and information you submit in a report. Administrative tools do not provide access to E2EE conversation keys, E2EE message decryption or attachments in those conversations. A report does not unlock the rest of an E2EE conversation. Your content

You keep ownership of what you send. You give us the limited permission needed to store, process and deliver your content to the people you send it to and to operate and protect the service.

Crypta Premium

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. It renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Privacy features

Disappearing messages, view-once photos, screenshot notices, Screen Shield and locked chats make it harder, not impossible, for others to keep what you share. Anyone can still photograph their screen with another device, so only share what you are comfortable with someone keeping.

Availability

We work to keep Crypta reliable and secure, but it is provided “as is” and may sometimes be unavailable. Crypta is not an emergency service and must not be relied on to contact emergency services. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or messages that are not delivered. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Crypta and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end access for breaches of these terms or where required by law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version above. Continuing to use Crypta after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions: [email protected].
